Description 

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Science Tutor to support KS2 - KS4 students in Science on a 1:1 basis in Grays.

The successful tutor will be passionate, enthusiastic and able to effectively understand the educational needs of students from various backgrounds.

You must have good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and have recent experience teaching or supporting Science at GCSE level. You will be able to act proactively in ensuring that education is accessible and sustainable for your young learners.

Overview of the position:
• Supporting yound people with vast gaps in there learning reach their full potential
• Tuition can either take place during the school day for children not accessing school, or take place after school hours for children with vast gaps in their learning that require additional support.
• Hours can vary between 1-20 hours per week
• Pay rate is £15 – £35 per hour depending on qualifications, experience and travel

The successful Tutor will:
• Hold a teaching qualification (QTS)
• Have a current and clear DBS (or be willing to process one)
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
• Be passionate about working in the education workforce
• Be adaptable and quick learners who can think on their feet
• Have solid understanding of the UK national curriculum and be able to produce own resources
• Be able to set firm boundaries whilst showing empathy and resilience to pupil behaviours
