We are seeking a systems engineering expert in Tactical Communications who will be responsible for shaping the future technical vision & architecture across the Tactical Engagement space: Communications, C2, and sensing.

Engineers in this role will be responsible for developing concepts and corresponding models to aid in the analysis of communication systems at many different levels of abstraction, ranging from the generation of novel systems architectures down to detailed interoperability studies.
Successful candidates will have experience using engagement simulations to evaluate communication architecture options.
Other modelling experience ranging from waveform development, signal detection and jamming analysis, RF interference modeling, link budgeting, and system-level trade space evaluation is also valued in this role.
This position provides an opportunity to contribute to technical research and development of next generation Tactical Communications, and Command and Control systems.Applicants must demonstrate the ability to focus on the big picture to derive operational recommendations from analytical data.
This role will require confidence in making and defending assumptions to develop and applying models to extract operationally relevant conclusions.Required Qualifications:- Active DoD security clearance- Domain knowledge of airborne communications, tactical data links- Communications engineering background- Experience in evaluating trade spaces to provide recommendations for systems-level improvements- Familiarity with DoD combat modelling and simulation tools- Data visualization- Technical writing - Ability to lead cross-cutting, multidisciplinary teamsIn addition to these technical skills, applicants should have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines, as well an ability to frame and articulate technical problems in a systems engineering context.BS, MS, or PhD and 8 years related experience.Desired Qualifications:- Knowledge of sensing and military command and control platforms- Familiarity with satellite communications - Models Based Systems Engineering experience (SysML/UML)
