Virtual Event Producer/Manager
Literacy Partners is seeking an Independent Contractor who is an exceptional project manager
to help produce our next installment for our literary and social justice events series.
After a successful Marathon Reading of Toni Morrisons Song of Solomon last year, we are
producing a Marathon Reading of The Bluest Eye, Morrisons first novel. There will be a line-up
of well-known personalities reading the book on camera and the airing of the entire event will
take place in February 2022.
Literacy Partners is seeking an experienced virtual event producer who will manage
pre-production and production operations, including:
Manage project plan (event production calendar) for achieving event goals. This includes coordinating project team to complete responsibilities and hit benchmark deliverables
Coordinate video production of celebrity talent
Coordinate communications among the project team members (staff and consultants)
Manage logistics related to the live streaming and recording of event
Develop feedback surveys and handle post-event reporting
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of planning and production experience for at least two virtual events
Minimum 1 year experience with live video production and live streaming platforms (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram).
Minimum 1 year experience working with video production teams (e.g. producers, videographers, editors)
Excellent project management track record
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Detail oriented and forecasting ability
Strong interpersonal relationships skills and ability to work collaboratively
A great sense of humor
Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets spreadsheets
