Rehab Aide

Overview:

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide or Technician for our outpatient orthopedic clinic.  An ideal candidate has previous Tech experience and would be able to work varied hours including weekends and evenings.  We will consider Full time, Part time or PRN.

Responsibilities:

Carries out activities delegated by supervisor as allowed under State Practice Acts following Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines



Possesses training and/or experience which allows him/her to aide therapists in carrying out rehabilitation procedures, organize/schedule and keep records of ancillary services (i.e. FCE’s, CYBEX, POETS, etc.) and support other center specific functions.



Observes and reports any abnormal patient conditions, reactions and responses to treatment in an effective, professional manner



Plays a significant role in specific area of center operations (may be scheduling ancillary services and following up, overseeing a specific program, serving as OSHA coordinator, etc.)



Cleans, sterilizes and prepares equipment in accordance with company policy and



guidelines.



 Schedule:



Clinic Location: Alliance, OH



Type of Employment: Open to FT, PT, or PRN



 Varied hours including evenings and weekends



Qualifications:

Previous Therapy Experience Preferred



HealthCare Experience Preferred



Bachelors or pursuing a degree in kinesiology or exercise science



Ability to use all necessary office equipment (faxes, copiers, computers, telephones, etc.)



Ability to type 40 words per minute preferred



 



Physical Requirements:



Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift



Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift



Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics



Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs



Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction



Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
