POSITION OBJECTIVE
Supports the design and construction phases of a system and/or upgrade project and participate in gathering functional requirements. Incumbent will perform Configuration across multiple SAP functional modules. Incumbent has significant involvement of project design, business impact and resolution of implementation issues. Works on or coordinates several key SAP deliverables. Prepares project team and/or end-user training materials and job aids, trains and coaches on SAP projects and heavily influences application architecture in SAP. Broad understanding of an entire horizontal process chain and depth in some sub-processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform as module expert and provide support for SAP Variant Configuration (VC) module and processes
Variant Classification (Class 300 and 200)
Work on AS-IS model, and be able to work with Product Engineers and understand/document business process.
SAP Engineering Change Management.
Work on characteristics, class, configuration profiles, Super BOMs ,Super Routings, object dependencies, Configurable materials, Configurable dimensions, variant pricing , material variants, and material variant costing , VC (Sales Order) costing
Lead systems and contribute to best practice design
Provide pre-implementation and implementation guidance, training and support for SAP deployments
Lead projects and work collaboratively with IT and business management to ensure successful deployment
Lead meetings and facilitate issue resolution and development workshops
Contribute to the development and maintenance of global SAP template, monitor business adherence to template standards
Troubleshoot SAP and business process issues reported by operations
Coordinate with the SAP Technical Development team to customize SAP as required and coordinate Unit Testing, System Testing and Regression testing with end users
Translate business needs to requirements through requirement gathering sessions and collaboration with stakeholders. Prioritize those needs, design process flows and secure written approvals
Define engagement success criteria with business users, tracks and monitors progress during engagements and ensures deliverables are met
Communicate and report project progress related to schedule and work performance to the necessary stakeholders on a regular basis

* Proficient with select software packages i.e. MS Office Suite, Visio etc.
* Ability and willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATIONAL REQTS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information systems preferred.
Hands-on functional configuration and design experience
SAP Variant Configuration (VC) experience plus experience in one additional SAP module
Participation in all phases of at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations
