Our Global Supply Chain team believes in investing in the future and is looking for interns to join our team this summer with the potential to lead to a year-round internship opportunity.
Our interns will get hands-on experience in supply chain functions such as planning, sourcing and supplier management and corporate procurement services.
Our corporate business group provides global services and insights allowing for visibility into how business decisions and results impact the broader, world-wide business strategy.

-Support the development of various sourcing and supplier management strategies that let SG access the highest quality commodities, enable responsive delivery at the best value of our investments
-Support the supply chain planning organization by improving forecast accuracy of our complex product lines to enable industry best fulfillment lead-times and flexibility to our customer needs
-Support the development of our future end-to-end supply chain strategy and global footprint that enables us to improve our service delivery and optimize working capital
-Support the procurement of goods and service required to enable SG’s day-to-day business activities and functions
-Support the development of a structured and standardized procurement process and policies to reduce cost and limit risk Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled with a Junior or senior standing in a Bachelor’s program in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or similar field of study.
MBA candidates preferred
-A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access and PowerPoint and an aptitude to learn now computer programs
-Must enjoy working in a collaborative environment
-Demonstrated communication skills (including active listening, writing, presenting, and emotional intelligence)
-Demonstrated analytical skills and an inquisitive mind (including ability to ask curious questions and gather, compile, interpret & analyze data quickly)
-Detail oriented with demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
