JOB TITLE: Technical Consultant LOCATION: Portsmouth Dynama make solutions that keep vessels moving, mobilise armies and monitor safety compliance.

Whilst the role will involve working on a customer site, you will be supported by a great team in London and will have frequent interaction with your colleagues.
This is not a typical support role and technical capabilities, along with the desire to learn new skills, will be required.
Technically capable of managing multiple systems, your primary responsibilities will revolve around supporting users by managing, configuring and implementing Dynama solutions in a Defence location in Portsmouth.
You will gain experience from working in a dynamic operational defence environment, building customer relationships, and developing your skills in a wide range of technologies.
What you will be doing: Installation and migration of Dynama’s products and services for the customer (ship and shore side); Contributing to the design, development and testing of customer configuration and custom solutions; Managing the solutions under your responsibility including troubleshooting issues and maintenance; Reporting progress on support activities to the customer and Dynama Account Manager; Develop contacts with customer IT staff, and other staff as part of your daily activities; Training end users on how get the best from their Dynama solutions; Escalating issues to the Dynama support team.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required: Familiarity with the latest technologies for software development and maintenance; Excellent customer facing skills and the ability to communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical customers and team members; Good SQL Server querying skills (Transact-SQL) and strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or later) administration; Proven capability with multiple programming languages; Experience of Windows Server platforms including implementing application software and configuration of IIS and web services; Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and written; Experience of Microsoft Office applications or similar.
