Will be involved in a wide variety of initiatives, including - Merger and acquisition system and process integrations - Application implementations and upgrades - Software development - RFP due diligence projects - Office moves and build-outs - Highly sensitive Human Resource initiatives Requirements - 4 year college degree, BS or BA - 10 years of experience working in the IT department of a large law firm - Most recent experience (5 years) as an IT PM in a 100 attorney law firm with multiple practice areas - Vendor management HW, SW, IT project consulting firms - Strategic planning skills - Sharepoint expertise, MS Project helpful - Exemplary written communication skills and a willingness to to use those skills for internal marketing purposes - Ability to, through writing, provide clarity on the purpose of projects, their importance and how new technology or upgrades will affect the day to day with a variety of users - Experience working with training organizations to create roll-put andor upgrade training for various technologies Soft Skills - Extreme confidence, without being confrontational - Prior executive interaction and concensus building skills - Must be mentally quick and able to follow multiple threads within a conversation, while still maintaining a priority list - Someone open to working 50 hours a week on a regular basis - Someone who enjoys the stress of planning and rolling out large enterprise projects in a legal environment - Willingness and ability to deftly push back on executives who are asking for projects that would not benefit the firm as a whole - Ability to work with highly technical individuals (people who know more than you do about certain things) and still maintain authority Technology used in the firm includes - iManage Document Management System (They use iManage in a more robust way than any other law firm in the USA.
) It is used for security, versioning, colaboration, document search, etc.
