We are currently seeking an MEP Estimator to join our team.

Position Summary:The MEP Estimator is responsible for all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection estimating including pre-construction, hard bids, conceptual bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.

Responsibilities:Perform conceptual estimating on mechanical, electrical and plumbing portions of projectsProduce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for a project from its early inception through an acceptable working budget, GMP, or Lump Sum PriceObtain and present unit pricing dataDevelop working relationships with local mechanical/plumbing/fire protection/electrical/technology/LV System (MEP) sub-contractors in order to build and maintain a list of qualified bidders for all projectsResponsible for outlining clarifications and qualifications within an estimateProvide back up for estimates to be used during analysis and review Secure and contact sources for cost estimates for all specialty itemsPossess and apply knowledge of unit prices and the material/labor componentEstablish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field3-10 years of experience in MEP EstimatingComputer Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word iSqFT OST Microsoft ProjectUnderstanding of market conditions and its influence on pricing
