To learn more about CCI, visit us online at www.cci-worldwide.com.Job DescriptionCCI has a Client who is seeking a Candidate to conduct a gap analysis between current and anticipated workforce needs in the regional biotechnology, medical device and life science industry and the higher education capacity for fulfilling those workforce needs.
It is expected that the successful Candidate will conduct detailed interviews and analyses of higher education programs in this field, will conduct interviews and determine specific needs of regional industry partners, and will provide a written report on the identified gaps that exist such that current and anticipated workforce needs cannot be fulfilled.
The report should include recommendations such as suggestions for increasing higher education capacities in certain disciplines, creating new higher education pathways, or creating new partnerships with industry.
OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE OF WORK Objective 1: Meet with 7 regional higher education institutions to fully understand their current program offerings in the biotechnology, medical device and life science industry.
Objective 2: Meet with the industry partners identified by Life Sciences Washington and the 7 institutions of higher education.
Objective 3: Meet with applicable/regional workforce development councils and/or agencies to determine their role in fulfilling industry workforce needs.
Objective 4: With the steering committee, determine the exact needs/design for a gap analysis report.
Objective 5: Write the report and receive feedback from the steering committee before final submission.
Final submission of the written report is expected August 31 Objective 6: Convey to a larger group as determined by the steering committee the results from the analysis.
This meeting will occur in early September.
QualificationsExperience with Gap Analysis Work Experience Working with Labor/Workforce Development Organizations Experience with conducting industry-related gap analyses.
