At Pathways Care Consortium our role is to provide person-centered support that starts each person we support on the road to greater independence, empowering them to reach their full potential.
The role As part of a key-working team, you’ll work with service users with learning disabilities and mental health needs and provide them with practical and emotional support on a day to day basis.
Liaising closely with your team and other professionals you’ll make sure they are safe, happy and healthy.
Working to a person-centered model that puts the people we support at the heart of all you do you, you can develop support plans collaboratively with the service user and his representatives.
Working closely with your Manager and Senior Support Worker to evaluate risks, review progress and drive our innovative service forward, you’ll be a vital member of the team.
The skills you’ll need To join us, you will need at least one years experience working with people with learning disabilities.
A formal qualification including Health and Social Care level 2 and 3 will be desirable.
Mainly, you will need to have a positive attitude towards disability.
In addition, you will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised, good with people and eager to learn and develop.
A team player, you can follow policies and procedures easily, and will have good writing skills, as you will need to write up reports and care plans.
Above all, you’ll be committed to providing person-centred care that gives real equality of opportunity to all those you’re working for.
Benefits In return, we offer:
- £9.10 - £9.50 per hour.
- If you are in charge of shifts, you will receive £9.35 per hour
- 28 days of statutory annual leave
- Full time and part time flexible working hours (vary from 7 hours to 13 hours shifts)
