With a showroom in Grand Rapids, our client serves the Residential and Shop fitting markets, working closely with Builders, Designers, Architects, and Private Customers.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
This role requires someone to be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and have the ability to coordinate and manage a team to ensure the project is competed in a timely manner.
Some of the ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with Engineers and Designers to determine the specification of the project Responsible for managing material purchases for the projects you are involved with, and assist the sales process to ensure that customers' needs are met until sale is closed and project is completed Negotiating contracts with both external vendors Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets Strong Knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment Quality control during the process to ensure the job is manufactured accordingly to project Manage Delivery and Install with internal and external crews Purchasing and managing contracts and production JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Business, Construction Management Good understanding of mechanical and electrical knowledge Willingness to Travel 50% - 70% throughout the Unites States, Canada and Mexico Good Interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Knowledge of the construction industry and process Knowledge: AutoCad, Knowledge of 3-D, Cabinet Vision.
