Electrical Engineer
Full time, permanent
Near Diss, Norfolk
My client, one of the UK's largest production companys’, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
Working within a complex engineering environment, you will be responsible for providing a responsive technical service to the Operations team to ensure that high levels of plant safety, machine availability, efficiently, reliability and product quality are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
Identification and recovery of fault situations on all processing equipment and ancillary devices
Monitoring ns adjusting equipment and process conditions to ensure that 'right first time' quality is achieved
Maximising equipment utilisation by carrying out effective preventative maintenance procedures, timely calibrations and routine safety checks on all processing equipment
Promoting an environment of continuous improvement at all times and assisting in process improvement projects
Installation and commissioning of new equipment
The successful candidate will ideally be apprentice trained and/or hold an HNC qualification in an electrical discipline. It would be preferable to have an element of mechanical skill as well and also an excellent ability to fault find, experience with ac and dc drives, in particular Lenze, Sew, Siemens and ABB and knowledge of Siemens S5, S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs.
This is a full time, permanent role doing a double day shift or 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm. My client offers an excellent basic salary and with overtime, the salary is more than desirable.
