We are looking for a switched-on, enthusiastic Account Manager who has worked with application software clients, has a few years’ experience under their belt, and is still ambitious and hungry for success. This thriving software consultancy in Milton Keynes needs an Account Manager who can be an ambassador for the company, build loyalty and develop strong relationships. Negotiable salary to £40k base, plus commission of around £20k and profit share.
You will be based from their offices in Milton Keynes, with visits to clients taking up 20-30% of your time and some flexibility for home working days. The role is focused on account management of several high-profile clients and ‘wallet share’ growth of these existing accounts, through support contracts, software upgrades, add-ons and service contracts, helping your clients to understand how they can make better use of their software and add value to their investment.
You will work alongside key staff in the Pre-Sales, Product Management, Sales and Support teams to ensure excellent service delivery to your clients, produce monthly forecasts, maintain your CRM system, carry out regular service reviews with the customers, produce quotations and proposals and attend exhibitions, sales events and seminars.
They are looking for someone who is proactive, can build rapport quickly with their clients, manage their expectations, build lasting relationships, and has a "seek and win" attitude to recognising upselling opportunities. Your communication skills should be first rate and you are a great negotiator. Above all you have spark and energy as this is an ambitious company working in a state-of-the-art software area.
You will have worked in Software Sales or Account Management of Application Software such as field service, asset management software, rental software, bookings software, document management, leisure software, estate agency software, CRM, payments software, ERP software, legal software, accounting software, construction solutions, service management software, property management software, hire software, or anything similar.
You will be the main contact for these clients and will build on loyalty, developing and managing relationships and new revenue streams with the existing client base, through regular telephone and email contact, and meetings and discovering and winning up-selling opportunities and support contracts and licenses.
