A great opportunity for applicants with either specialist scientific equipment sales OR who are currently working in a laboratory (industry or academia) with at least 2 year’s post degree laboratory experience in cell culture/fermentation/bioprocessing/bioreactors and wanting a career move into a technical scientific sales role This is a specialist post with a reputable company in this field, who provide extensive product and commercial training.
This role is 80% field-based travelling to customer sites in this region, with around 1 day a week working from home.
This territory involves a mixture of maintaining current customers as well as new business development within their specialist market.
TERRITORY: Midlands, North-West and South-West UK PRODUCTS: Bioreactors and a specialist product portfolio that covers the whole upstream bioprocess CLIENTS: Biopharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Academic Laboratories Key Tasks : Maintain existing business relationships whilst identifying opportunities to grow business across this region.
Working as part of the specialist sales and service team to sell equipment throughout the sales cycle and find leads for new opportunities.
Ensure an excellent level of customer service and promote the company its products and activities at all levels within the market.
Manage and develop the region through ensuring a clear strategy, effective planning and forecasting.
Keep up to date with and share both market & competitor information and activities to the team.
Update the customer database and site visit reports, using this to prepare feedback to the Sales Manager.
Ensure excellent product and technical knowledge.
Attendance at industry exhibitions, seminars and networking events when required.
Person Specification: BSc Biological-based degree The individual will ideally have 2-3 years' experience either in scientific instrumentation sales OR are currently working in a laboratory and have practical expertise in cell culture/fermentation/upstream processing and are keen for a career move into a customer facing scientific sales role Excellent communications skills, self-motivated and driven to succeed
