Description 

Our client, a leading manufacturer of personal care products, is looking to recruit an Account Manager to generate sales from new and existing clients within their portfolio of personal care brands.

Based at the head office in the main, the role is responsible for the maintenance of existing customer base, but has a significant focus on developing new customers.

Although predominately office based , the account list will include a mix customers from the Midlands to the Scottish boarders which will require some personal visits A hands on approach to all aspects of the customer role is required which may also include attendance at UK trade show.

Key Responsibilities for the role of Account Manager: To sell across a wide range of personal care products, ensuring monthly sales targets are achieved Management of existing range of active customers by either telephone sales or personal visits Targeting and opening potential new accounts Reviewing and contacting lapsed accounts to re-open if possible Prioritisation and identification of new business opportunities with potential customers and implement different sales activities by researching the customer's needs and requirements Represent the company by attending trade shows and exhibitions Essential Skills for the position of Account Manager Experience of dealing with and selling into the cosmetics/personal care industry/retailers/customers is essential Proven track record of opening accounts, taking orders and closing sales Strong interpersonal communication skills to develop healthy, professional relationships with the clients Working with a structured price list, excellent negotiation skills required Should be able to work in a target oriented work environment and should be able to prioritize work based on the given deadlines Flexibility with travel requirements Excellent time management and organization skills IT Skills - Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook to maintain and update reports and presentations Excellent basic salary plus bonuses, lap top and phone plus use of pool car
