The Accounting Manager is responsible, under direction from the Controller, for a portion of the general ledger accounting function and ensuring a high level of performance accuracy. The Accounting Manager will help maintain the integrity of all accounting procedures, records and reports. This individual will also be responsible for assisting the Controller in the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports. All duties should be performed within the guidelines of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and with the companys Internal Control Standards and objectives.



What you will have an opportunity to do:



JOB SUMMARY:



Oversee billing and collections related to groups, wholesalers, social guests, and club members.



Review the Aging Report on a monthly basis to identify past due accounts. Determine the proper course of action and execute, or oversee the execution of, such action, to assure full recovery of outstanding balances.



Provide credit references to other hotels and companies asking for specific customers.



Seek and obtain credit references for upcoming groups. Establish credit limits based on findings, and monitor while groups are in house.



Attend profile and pre-conference meetings pertaining to groups.



Be familiar with the specifics pertaining to all groups, and monitor the activity of in-house groups on a daily basis.



Review and solve credit card disputes from guests and groups.



Review and update procedures pertaining to Accounts Receivable whenever necessary.



Supervise a group of three in the Accounts Receivable section within the Accounting Department.



Sign all correspondence related to this section.



WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?



QUALIFICATIONS:



2 years Accounting Experience



Computer Knowledge



Microsoft excel, word etc



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



Must be very flexible and able to handle multiple tasks.
