The Graphic Designer creates and executes web content for the Things Remembered brand.  Responsible for the overall layout and aesthetic of the website and creating a compelling customer experience, ensuring the website, and all collateral are representing the brand as directed.  The Graphic Designer must be able to review user feedback and data provided to determine best practices, refine the user experience, and develop website features that ensure optimal site functionality as well as visually maintain the brand directive and brand aesthetic.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Execute a consistent brand image across all channels of design, exemplifying brand’s typography, and aesthetics.

Present creative, branded solutions for all projects.

Design weekly branded website (Adobe XD) that supports wireframes provided by the Art

Upload approved files to shared platforms, properly formatted for back-end development.

Support and communicate with marketing and web development teams to make content changes and fulfill requests as needed.

Design and present weekly In-store signage and print projects, digital display ads, social media and other design materials that support the brand.

Follow the marketing calendar and prepare promotional content as presented by the Marketing team.

Collaborate with creative team members to create customer facing designs that represent the brand aesthetic.

Follow operational procedures to ensure designs are reviewed and approved by the appropriate channels.

Work independently and in support of the Production Operations Manager to ensure deadlines and key points in process timelines are met.

Attend and participate in weekly creative /production, and promotional execution meetings.

Update and maintain file and image storage platforms. Execute access of files/images for reference and use across all channels.

Work with the Art Director to perform fact-based analyses to include, track/follow competitors, identify trends, and provide competitive insight and creative solutions based on such insights.

Ability to write clearly in a variety of styles and deliver the desired message to readers.

Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably.

Must be a fast learner, especially with respect to new development in the e-commerce space.

Proficient in Adobe XD & Photoshop

Strong typography & design skills

Understanding of digital marketing principles



Education and Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Interactive Design, Web Development or related field

3-5 years of related work experience, or appropriate education with demonstrated high academic achievement

Understanding of e-commerce, user experience, and marketing best practices

Advanced Photoshop skills, working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign

Photo manipulation skills – ability to retouch images, remove backgrounds, composite group shots, update/change PFDs (engravings/embroidery) on products to best fit the marketing

Intermediate level Microsoft Excel user.

Knowledge of best practices for Web image optimization and industry standards

Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube) from a design perspective

Retail or fashion brand, agency, or ecommerce experience preferred
