Maintenance Department Manager
Manage all maintenance employees, work activities and resources necessary to maintain site equipment and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Maintenance Department
Implement and maintain preventive maintenance plan/system
Ability to manage Maintenance work and parts through SAP S4Hana
Direct personnel (approximately 16 direct reports) daily
Assist the Operations Manager with budgeting for all maintenance functions and special projects
Develop specifications and solicit bids for operations, services, and equipment supporting maintenance functions
Secure and supervise all maintenance services performed by outside contractors
Establish work order priorities
Supervise work, evaluate performance and develop training requirements of maintenance personnel
Assist in evaluating training requirements for maintenance and manufacturing personnel
Assist the Operations Manager to formulate and recommend procedures, standard practices to be followed in maintenance and operations of facilities
Assure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding the building and fiscal plant operation, including compliance with V.D.H.,A.D.A., N.F.C., local, state, and federal codes.
Support the Project & Engineering Manager with the acquisition of materials and resources for non-capital projects.
Support the Project & Engineering Manager with the execution of non-capital projects
Evaluate spare parts requirements for new project and existing equipment.
Continuous evaluation of all process equipment in order to determine actions necessary to maximize efficiency, improve quality, and lower maintenance costs
Requirements
Associates Degree Required
Bachelor of Engineer Degree Preferred
2 or more years of experience leading a maintenance department preferred
2 or more years supervising a maintenance crew of at least 8 employees required
Experience implementing and/or maintain Preventative Maintenance Systems preferred
Experience with SAP (S4 Hana) preferred
Experience working with extrusion and yarn spinning equipment preferred
Basic understanding of PLC and control systems
Hands on trouble shooting and understanding of chillers, extruders, air compressors, winders, godets, utilities, building maintenance, control systems, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent computer skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other members of management
Ability to working effectively with all operations and maintenance employees as well as upper management
Ability to articulate oral presentations and written reports
Extensive knowledge of maintenance, electrical, PLC and control and HVA systems, manufacturing, and related trades.
