Job Description


This role is accountable for driving the sales strategy and implementation of emerging and small business payment flows (small business credit card, segment and vertical growth flows, customized card programs, etc.) and other unique solutions that drive payment volume and revenue across our U.S. business in one of Visa’s largest and most complex financial institution clients.  This involves the creation and execution of opportunities to drive net new growth across the portfolio of this issuing/acquiring bank while growing the existing portfolio in conjunction with other dedicated business focused Account Executives.  The role is responsible for identifying new payment flows in the payments ecosystem and working with teams at Visa and industry partners to deliver solutions, products, platforms, and more. To be effective this individual will liaise with other Visa team members to provide operational and technical support for teams internally and at the client. The individual will work hand in hand with teams in Visa Business Solutions, Acquiring, Visa Direct, Consumer Product, Finance, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Innovation and others. This individual will lead and manage the development of customized growth solutions. The result of these efforts will be increased strategic value to the client, growing client and Visa revenue and strengthening executive relationships.  The role will report into the Head of Financial Institutions Sales for a large national account.

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales and business development leader who has worked in the payments ecosystem and maintains executive-level relationships with banking clients.  Exposure to card and non-carded flows and other payment solutions will be key to the success of this individual. This role requires a comfort using data to drive strategic leadership, innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills. They will bring prior experience in establishing mutually beneficial partnerships and solution selling, as well as a deep knowledge of payments and related technology. They must be creative and hands-on, have a bias toward action and inspire others with their vision. 


Manage key projects tied to the client's payments vision and strategy on Visa products and solutions and provide the leadership and focus to drive results

Develop strategic relationships with the senior management and all decision makers

Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through an understanding of the client and customer's needs, demonstrating value by creating and implementing innovative solutions

Demonstrate leadership in setting payments strategy in association with internal Visa stakeholders and the client executive team, drive agenda with cross functional teams

Analyze and carefully monitor on an ongoing trends and competitor actions to enable, to develop, and to implement preemptive strategies and plans for the client

Maintain a partnership with lead Account Executives and other business partners while directly driving and owning the sales and strategy for key solutions
