Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health – Massachusetts is seeking a Training Specialist for our Residential and Community programs on our beautiful campus in Rutland, MA. At Devereux, we provide programs and services for children and adolescents with mental and behavioral heallth challenges as well as children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.



You will add value by:

- Maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and

  personal needs of program clients while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors.

- Providing client documentation to include shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.



 



Being a Training Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages.

The Training Specialist will provide education and instruction to Devereux -  Massachusetts and Rhode Island employees with primary responsibility for the Rhode Island and northern programs. Some of the duties include:



- Being responsible for analyzing learning data to help ensure compliance with licensing, funding agencies, and Devereux learning standards



- Delivering instruction including but not limited to modules of New Directions, Safe and Positive Approaches, First Aid/CPR, Customer Service, Documentation, Client Handbook, Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, and Boundaries.

What is Devereux doing to support and protect the health and safety of our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic?

All Devereux centers have formal infectious-disease and emergency-management plans tailored to specifically address the unique aspects of COVID-19 prevention. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization, just a few of these precautions have included:



Establishing enhanced cleaning and disinfection across all campuses and sites



Implementing social distancing protocols across all programs



Using PPE, including masks, gloves and gowns as indicated by the CDC



Ensuring daily temperature and symptom screenings for all staff and client



 



 



 



 



 



Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in human services or related field.



- One year previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.



- Two years experience as a trainer or presnter is preferred. 



- Strong passion for training new staff and helping improve overall job performance.



- CPR/First Aid Instructors Certification required.



- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.



- Excellent public speaking skills.



- Strong attention to detail.



- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email, and the Internet.
