Global L&D Learning Journey Senior Manager


The continuous development of our consulting staff is one of the highest priorities at BCG. Case Leaders (i.e., Principals and Specialty business equivalents) go through the Case Leader Learning Journey to build critical foundational knowledge and skills to set themselves up for success in their roles. As the Global L&D Learning Journey Senior Manager, you will drive and oversee the development of our Case Leader Journey from strategy to execution and have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives.

In this role, you will be a strategic partner and leader as you work closely with regional, local, and Specialty Business L&D teams, and other HR functions (e.g., Staffing, CD, Global Mobility) to strategize effective ways to educate and train our Case Leaders. You will create blueprints and recommend comprehensive learning solutions to deliver quality and value. You will build relationships at all levels, including senior L&D leadership, bringing innovation and insights to these conversations and the overall journey. As a result, you will help create a continuous learning environment enabling BCGers to thrive in their role.


* Bringing innovative ideas and knowledge of current and emerging learning technology trends and experiences to your projects

* Leveraging consulting skills to achieve results and deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations

* Initiating and leading open conversations with teams, and stakeholders and enjoy working with people from different geographies and backgrounds

* Influencing both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership by providing value adding deliverables, customized service and great experiences built on personal relationships

* Performing in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and managing tight timelines and deliverables across multiple projects and teams while staying true to BCGs values and culture

* Using agile project management techniques (including MVP concepts, sprint planning, backlog management and sprint review) to successfully manage teams and meet business requirements

* Communicating and working in ways that build relationships with team members, SMEs, and other internal stakeholders

* Taking the perspective of our learners to make communications, experiences, and any touchpoint part of the individual learning experience

* Linking instructional design, evaluation, learning assessment, and technologies when recommending learning solutions

* Analyzing data and communicating data insights to measure impact and drive decision making

* Navigating a complex matrix structured organization; experience doing so virtually is strongly preferred

* Being dynamic, reliable, collaborative, and motivated and keeping your composure in difficult situations


* You are a college graduate and have at least 8-10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a management consulting firm or tech-company. MBA or adult learning background preferred

* You have solid project management experience, ideally including agile project management and a passion for innovative projects. Management consulting background, ideally C2 or PL level or demonstrated experience in an organizational change and/or adult learning role, ideally in a top tier management consulting firm

* You have excellent leadership and influencing skills, and you are confident in managing Senior Stakeholders (MDP; Directors)

* You bring deep knowledge about current developments in the L&D space, methods, and tools. Professional experience in training as a trainer, coach or designer would be a clear plus

* You have demonstrated experience of working in a global environment and managing a complex stakeholder network

* You are fluent in the English language - oral and written

* Professional knowledge of Slack, MS Teams, Trello, Jira, Smartsheet, learning platforms would be a plus
