How you’ll make an impact:



SiriusXM is seeking a Social Media Specialist to lead and develop creative, goal-oriented social media content to engage and inspire our community of subscribers for SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation and The Heat. This role will report directly to the Associate Director, Social Media, and can be located in New York, Los Angeles, or Atlanta. The Social Media Specialist will create and manage a dynamic and strategic content calendar, as well as engage the Hip Hop Nation and The Heat social communities through existing and new platforms. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be extremely deadline-oriented with a strong ability to multitask. This role is also responsible for supporting day-to-day creative content storytelling and visual execution of social campaigns on a variety of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.The ideal candidate is experienced in social media marketing, passionate about music and pop culture, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 



What you’ll do: Drive editorial planning for SiriusXM Hip Hop Nation and SiriusXM The Heat accounts, including management of vertical social media calendars



Collaborate with the Programming team to drive brand awareness, foster engagement, and create innovative and engaging content that resonates with each audience for Hip Hop Nation and The Heat



Proactively engage with the Hip Hop Nation and The Heat community across all social platforms



Work on developing your own creative concepts, carrying them out and overseeing each step, from concept to completion



Utilize social advertising across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok to reach new audiences and grow our channels, including managing budget, reporting on efficacy, continually optimizing for maximum ROI and exploring new platforms to advertise on



Track and report on performance of organic and paid social media posts, discovering and implementing actionable insightsCollaborate with the analytics team to interpret and analyze all available data to make strategic and tactical recommendations



Write and schedule copy for vertical social media accounts



Create deep links to promote app content



Assist in filming, editing, and captioning video clips for social posting



Actively monitor social media and alert team of any cultural opportunities and/or crisis moments happening online



Partner closely with teams across the organization, including Programming, Marketing, and Public Relations to ensure consistency and cohesive strategy



Direct experience providing live social coverage at events (photography, video, etc) and comfortable traveling to our NYC office as well as festivals, concerts, red carpet events, etc.



Comfortable being available nights and weekends to perform community engagement and cover live events as needed

What you’ll need:Minimum 2 years experience working in social media, marketing, entertainment or PR industry



Experience writing and creating engaging social copy and content



Experience managing large communities across a variety of social platforms



Hands-on experience with social advertising across multiple platforms



Experience with social content management systems like Sprinklr



Deep understanding, curiosity and use of multiple social media platforms and internet culture.



Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail



Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment



Must work positively and collaboratively with other team members



Strong analytical skills to carry out a metrics-driven approach to content creation



Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure, flourishing in a fast-paced environment



Self starter attitude and the ability to initiate and carry out projects with minimal supervision 



Comfortable with travel to music festivals and other SiriusXM offices



Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience preferred



Experienced in Microsoft (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and Google office products 



WordPress and CMS experience a plus



Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred



Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
