Account Manager - Wholesale - Accretive

Overview:

The Account Executive will provide a high level of sales support to the Producer and customer service to clients.  The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion in order to meet those service levels.  Duties include assisting in selling, direct selling, marketing, and customer service in coordination with the producer and other Agency personnel. The Account Executive has superior product knowledge and is familiar with the specific products offered by the Agency's carriers.  The Account Executive will assist in the production of new and renewal accounts in keeping with Agency and individual Producer goals and provide field service in support of Producer activities. The Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts.  The Account Executive will work with the Producer to design and recommend proper insurance and risk management programs to Agency clients.

Responsibilities:

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.



Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and brokers.



Will market new and renewal accounts with appropriate carriers. Will request proposals from carriers, binders and binding and of policies and endorsements to be issued by the carrier.



Collaborates with producer on individual risks.



Supports the Account Manager.



Trains new assistant underwriting staff.



Collaborate with design team for marketing materials.



Underwrite, bind, and issue policies for program business.



Other duties as assigned.



Travel is expected to be 50% in this role.



Qualifications:

Advanced degree from college or technical school preferred; 3+ years of insurance customer service experience; Experience with having their own book of business; or equivalent combination of education and experience



Superior Product & Carrier Knowledge and broker experience



Property & Casualty Insurance License



Underwriting experience preferred, as applicable



Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software; intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
