We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst for a Real Estate Development company.
Duties:
-- Underwrite prospective commercial real estate investments of varying asset classes utilizing Excel
-- Determine key assumptions and scenarios for prospective deals
-- Gather relevant market data from brokers, internal research resources, and external data sources and provide backup for key assumptions in every Excel model
-- Familiarity with CoStar and other real estate research sources
-- work closely with the Acquisitions team to evaluate a high volume of commercial real estate opportunities throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area
Must have:
-- Proficiency creating financial models in Excel
-- Researching commercial real estate data
-- Analyzing data and providing realistic assumptions and conclusions, based on the data, in Excel financial models
Top requirements:
-- 3-5 years of commercial real estate financial modeling and valuation experience and highly proficient in Excel
-- Ability to effectively analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information
-- Understanding of debt financing and the ability to model different types of capital stacks
-- Ability to effectively analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information
-- Demonstrated interest and experience in commercial real estate with strong experience in financial analysis
-- Must be detail-oriented
-- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
-- Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
-- Must be energetic and enthusiastic, proactive and creative
-- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics or related field
