Position Overview



Join the management team of an expanding affordable housing organization and build a successful career while you are helping improve the life of people in the community. Collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure high operational and financial performance. Provide tenants with excellent customer service.  



Responsibilities



Responsible for the overall management of assigned properties 



Inspect the building and grounds and ensure that are properly maintained



Take or suggest any actions needed for repair 



Knowledge of laws, standards, and codes that apply to property management



Hire, train, supervise, evaluate staff 



Respond to all resident requests and complaints 



Collaborate with leadership and other department teams 



Gather and classify data and prepare accurate, concise, and meaningful reports 



Stay well-informed about the status of policies and procedures pertaining to property management   



 Qualifications



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 



Minimum three years’ affordable housing management experience 



Working knowledge of HUD, rural development, tax credits procurement, and housing regulations 



Experience with Section 8 vouchers, LIHTC, relevant income calculations



Experience with large buildings (of 100 units)



Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employees with diverse backgrounds 



Ability to work fully onsite 



Availability for occasional on-call duties  



Strong Microsoft Office skills and other software 



Excellent written and oral communication skills 



Certified Property Manager certification preferred 



Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle  



Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred 



Must pass background check CORI and MVR   



Compensation



$47k plus; commensurate with experience
