Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, the Financial Reporting Accountant will focus on a variety of matters including, but not limited to month-end close, consolidation and internal and external reporting. This position requires effective collaboration within the accounting department, internal departments, and external vendors to support our high growth rate. The Financial Reporting Accountant should have strong business and financial acumen with superb attention to detail. The Financial Reporting Accountant will have high visibility to the Financial Reporting Director, Corporate Controller, and other members of Management and will have the opportunity to participate in several aspects of operating a rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, related support, and adjusting journal entries as needed for month end reporting
Directly support the consolidation reporting process and analysis working across multiple different accounting systems (ERPs)
Focus areas include consolidation, elimination and intercompany transactions, SEC reporting and certain estimates (intangibles, warranty and deferred revenue) and lease transactions
Assist with the input, analysis, and accounting of leasing activity
Support interim and year-end financial statement audit, including the input and compilation of data supporting financial statements and footnotes
Other ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or 2+ years of corporate accounting and/or public accounting experience
Intermediate Excel knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced accounting degree
Advanced excel knowledge
CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
Experience with SAP Business One
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, and/or retail industry
