What you will be doingThe VP, Analytics will play a key role in creating the strategy and enterprise data effort which includes data-based decisions through the design, governance, and oversight of the function.
This role will combine a subject-matter expert knowledge of techniques in data science with solid business acumen.
This role is a highly collaborative, highly visible, cross-functional role that will necessitate a focus on innovation, driving process, performance improvement and standardizing operating procedures across the network.
This includes partnering with functions across AmerisourceBergen’s enterprise, including Commercial leadership, Finance, Digital Business Solutions (IT), Human Resources, and more.
Shape and communicate a clear vision, strategy and roadmap of analytics to all stakeholders2.
Drive business innovation through analytics3.
Coordinate with business unit leaders to understand enterprise-wide strategic needs and synergies4.
Develop an enterprise-wide plan to adopt analytics and shift to agile mindsets5.
Lead Analytics Council for use case prioritization, execution, and value capture6.
Oversee translation of analytics outcomes into actionable insights and operational decisions 7.
Oversee development of standards and processes for analytics across all critical functions8.
Develop and implement strategic partnerships in the business, technology, and academic fields9.
Drive enterprise-wide analytics literacy (e.g., Analytics Academy)10.
Create an environment to attract and grow top analytics talent11.
Implement foundational capabilities for analytics (e.g., data governance, analytics infrastructure)12.
Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor degree program, advance degree preferred, MBA, or Masters in Statistics ; normally requires ten (10) years directly related and progressively responsible experience with advanced business knowledge including insights and analytics.
Strong leadership and management experience in an enterprise or cross-functional role2.
In-depth technical Data Analytics and Intelligence knowledge and skills3.
Deep knowledge of the business 4.
Strong experience in leading transformation with knowledge of change management best practices5.
Experience in agile methodologies and analytics (e.g., statistics, structured/ unstructured data analysis, predictive modelling, data visualization)6.
Ability to influence senior executives7.
Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams of business8.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing9.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships10.
Possess an advanced knowledge of statistics.11.
