CAO Analyst - Remote


The CAO (Computer Assisting Ordering) Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of planogrammed items being imported into nightly feeds. In addition, the CAO Analyst will review inventory levels in a store. This includes reviewing low inventory levels, ensuring ordering of correct products, and coordinating with cross-functional teams when the inventory levels will need to be addressed. CAO Analyst will be answering day to day business questions such as “Why cannot I not order an item?”, “Are the correct items authorized for the store?”, “I think I have too much inventory, can you please help?”, and “Is the item set up correctly?”


Strong communicator with abilities to share information to cross-functional teams.

• Ensures planogram item accuracy inside of CKB (Category Knowledge Base).

• Problem solves when issues arise in a store regarding out of stocks or un-orderable product.

• Lead Coordinator and participates in weekly out of stock meetings with vendors driving resolution dates of out of stocks.

• Runs weekly reporting reviewing key out of stocks and shares information with Category Managers.

• Works with wholesalers for recovery dates of out of stocks.

• Understands all Marketing projects and impacts on CAO.

• Coordinates for all store communication for monthly updates due to out of stocks, ordering information, and store resolution.


Bachelor’s Degree or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year of experience in two or more of the following: space management, category management, visual merchandising, retail, procurement/purchasing, vendor relations, inventory management, or retail marketing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications.

• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and shift priorities when experiencing changes in direction; must be able to adapt to new assignments, processes or requirements.

• Capability to build collaborative relationships and trust with others, and effectively contribute to a team.

• Must possess a drive for producing quality work, and proactively explore opportunities to ensure efficiency and excellence through enhancements to processes or systems.

• Strong analytical skill with the ability to identify and understand issues and opportunities, using effective approaches for problem solving.

• Blue Yonder (JDA) Category Management Suite preferred (Space Planning & Floor Planning, CKB, Space Automation) but not required

• PDI Suite preferred but not required
