Financial Cost Specialist Salary 45,000 to 47,000 circa Operational HQ, Edgbaston, Birmingham Permanent and Full time In this newly created role, you will be an integral part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
Your role will be working directly with the Senior Manager for (FP&A) to enhance and then manage the Bank’s planning capability.
Thus allowing for budgeting and forecasting, product and departmental detailed cost analysis and project appraisal.
Through your expertise you will guide cost analysis process at Al Rayan Bank by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts and recommending actions.
In your role will be to prepare the annual budget and rolling reforecasts.
Your partnering skills will be essential to work with the financial reporting team to ensure that costs variances are analysed, understood and documented.
As a subject matter expert in departmental and product costing, your skills will be essential to ensure the continuing success of the Bank.

Key responsibilities and tasks Competencies, skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role Essential Experienced cost analyst with demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of product and departmental costing.
Proven record of communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues of all levels including Board, obtaining buy-in for recommendations made.
Strong analytical skills; adept at interrogating complex information to identify cause and effect and deliver accurate business forecasting.
Excellent IT knowledge and skills with outstanding working knowledge of MS Excel and MS and good knowledge of MS Access, SQL Query writing.
Effective, proactive relationship builder with the ability to deliver complex messages and mange stakeholders from a wide audience.
A problem solver with the ability for creative thinking and the ability to work under own initiative.

Academic and/or professional qualifications Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or similar business qualification.
