A Systems Engineer / Information Architect is required to support the development of a pan defence architecture for future Electromagnetic (EM) capabilities (e.g. Communications, EW, Radar)
The role will require supporting the capture of current and potential EM Activities and Policy, and interaction with wider systems/enterprise , deriving requirements from them and expressing these in architectural views. This will be captured as a subset of views from the NATO architecture framework, utilising TOGAF and Archimate.
This work will initially be at high level, but aspects of it will be developed to a detailed level, including the development of service oriented architectures and XML representation of information exchange standards.
Occasional travel between MOD sites may be required.
It is essential that the candidate has experience of information architecting utilising an architecture framework and appropriate tools, working with stakeholders to extract architecture requirements and architecting at both an enterprise and technical levels. A sound understanding of systems engineering principals.
