Assistant to General Manager Northampton Part Time Hours - Either 10-2 OR 10-3 Salary - Pro Rata DOE A global freight forwarding business based in the heart of Northampton are looking for an experienced administrator/secretary to assist their General Manager on a part time basis.
Key Duties: Administrative and secretarial support for the General Manager.
Examples of tasks include drafting correspondence, preparing PowerPoint presentations, answering telephone calls and bespoke administration as required Organisational responsibilities for internal and external meetings and forums hosted by and / or at the request of the General Manager.
This includes all related administration, coordination and correspondence with staff, clients, visitors and suppliers.
Support and assist with the arrangement of national meetings and events where required Co-ordination of conference room and training room bookings on behalf of Northampton branch Order meeting room supplies, catering provisions and preparation of rooms for external meetings including all associated administration Co-ordination of specific projects and / or events on behalf of the General Manager Administration of credit card returns relating to Branch business expenses All UK & international travel and hotel arrangements for the General Manager, including associated administration Management and / or coordination of Shop orders (excluding promotional sales products) for the Midlands region Administration of annual leave for the General Manager's direct reports Ensure that the General Manager receives copies of all Circular Letters and notifications Management and administration of business card orders for Midlands & North region Ad hoc administration on behalf of the Northampton branch Provide annual leave cover for the Assistant to the Managing Director; This is a reciprocal arrangement Assist with organisation of the Christmas party for the Northampton branch and Regional Office, in conjunction with the Assistant to the Managing Director Provide administrative support for General Manager's direct reports, when required Potential representation of the Northampton branch at local meetings and provision of feedback to management where required Allocation and administration of Christmas gifts for staff The candidate: Must be an effective communicator with all individuals in the business Must have strong administration/secretarial skills Must be confident to liaise with colleagues of all levels Must have commercial and financial awareness This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/88197892
