The Senior Proposal Services Specialist is responsible for creating customized sales proposal documents for Accuity's prospects and clients. The Senior Strategic RFX Specialist works alongside Accuity professionals to respond to inbound requests for proposal (RFxs requests for information (RFIs), due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and other proposal services support requests. This position will report to the VP, Business Solutions Group.
Ø Define an Rfx process within the sales cycle to ensure that Rfx response time is significantly reduced and increase the quality and compliance of the Rfx response as a continuous improvement exercise.
Ø Drive sales and revenue growth through the completion of long-form client questionnaires for RFI, RFP, DDQ (RFx’s) covering all manner of technical subjects such as: systems architecture, encryption, information security, Infrastructure and Operations processes.
Ø Design, lead and implement market leading Rfx’s for designated Product suites.
Ø Answer, edit, and complete sales proposals, client reports and ad hoc questionnaires with accuracy and by deadline.
Ø Develop best in class Rfx response documentation to increase revenue growth.
Ø Collaborate with the sales teams, assurance functions and subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine strategic approach for proposals.
Ø Coordinate all aspects of sales proposal document production process to assure the overall quality meets firm standards.
Ø Research appropriate responses through supplied databases as well as any other identified sources.
Ø Interact with Compliance, Contract Management and Legal to review and obtain approvals on all terms of reference relevant to an RFx.
Ø Act as an Accuity resource for all associates involved in sales and marketing activities globally
Ø Lead process improvement projects/initiatives.
Ø Proactively manage own portfolio of procurement activities, including providing up to date professional and expert advice on the most appropriate sourcing strategies and develop a Rfx policy in line with any applicable rules and regulations.
Ø Applying professional judgement to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of procurement strategies and processes, including analysing our internal requirements, advising them on the best approach, providing guidance on process and templates, and reviewing their work for compliance highlighting any problematic areas.
Ø Develop best in class approach on e-tendering portals and managing relationship with customers including providing information and guidance our processes and managing clarification requests.
Ø Work with contract management on strategies, risk management and performance management such as defining Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Ø Align with contract management on a strategy in providing ongoing contract management advice providing guidance on their responsibilities and skills to manage contracts to internal customers).
Ø Support the organisations wider sustainable Rfx challenges.
Ø Create policies that support Rfx best practices.
Ø Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a Technical, business or communications focus.
Ø Previous related working experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
Ø Previous experience as a proposal writer preferred having held a similar position within an IT/FinTech/Digital Media sector.
Ø Proficient in the use of e-tendering portals.
Ø Articulate written communication e.g. must be able to assist with the preparation of specification and prepare contract and invitation to tender documentation, as well as internal briefing, minutes, recommendation papers etc.
Ø Experience and understanding of the financial services requirements for sales proposals globally.
Ø Have demonstrable experience across sourcing and customer management, preferably within the financial sector and very strong knowledge of commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class deals.
Ø Proven ability to achieve substantial cost benefit and have a strong selling style and effective communicator, collaborator and influencer.
Ø Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to interact with various management levels and internal clients in a complex work environment, including internal clients at remote sites.
Ø Ability to manage multiple projects while producing quality work.
Ø Detail-oriented with excellent organization and project management skills.
Ø Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet strict deadlines.
Ø A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision.
Ø Excellent analytical skills – a strong attention to detail and capability to see, assess and mitigate commercial risks.
Ø The ability to see projects in their holistic entirety and strong planning and organisational skills; a completer finisher.
Ø Clear thinker, with proven commercial acumen and strategic focus and excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with a range of audiences.
Ø Ability to manage a variety of complex projects simultaneously and build and maintain effective business relationships (internal and external).
