BARNSLEY HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST Consultant Orthodontist 6 PA’s – 10 PA’s Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Consultant in Orthodontics based at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, part-time and full-time applications are welcome.
This is a replacement post due to the retirement.
The post holder will be joining two existing part time Consultants in providing a multidisciplinary, Consultant-led Orthodontic Service for the population of Barnsley and surrounding districts.
Barnsley Hospital has modern, well equipped and dedicated Orthodontic Out-patient facilities including digital radiography, DOLPHIN and orthognathic planning software.
There are 5 clinical rooms shared with the Oral and Maxillofacial and restorative service with Specialist Orthodontic and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery laboratory services on site.
The Trust has well equipped post graduate departments containing modern library and postgraduate block containing rooms and auditoria.
BarnsleyHospital together with Sheffield Teaching Hospital is currently involved in the teaching and supervision of a SpR trainee.
Applicants must be on the General Dental Council Specialist list in Orthodontics and hold or be within 6 months of obtaining the intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship Exit Examination in Orthodontics or equivalent Candidates are encouraged to visit the unit.
