SIG Distribution are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to take a strategic leadership role in Oldbury, ensuring Sales Office activities are meeting Company goals
What does the role involve?
The Regional Sales Manager will deliver key Company strategies across Oldbury, identifying opportunities to improve and develop and drive success, whilst managing the Sales Office Managers to deliver against their targets.
You will ensure the Sales Office operates to agreed KPI's, whilst managing and implementing the pricing policies.
You will be expected to manage change as required, identifying and mitigating risks to sales activity. You will also develop the Sales Office Manager's skills and competencies, including people management, creating a competency matrix for the team which ensures sales effectiveness and product knowledge are part of continuing development for the team.
You will be expected to gain and maintain regional market knowledge of existing and potential customers, working closely with the External Sales Team, Category Managers and other internal stakeholders. You will manage key accounts in the region, building strong relationships with key customers within the market.
You will have a proven track record of delivering results and achieving financial targets, with a strong decision making ability. You must have high ethical standards and sound technical skills, analytical ability and possess good judgment, in addition to successful sales management experience and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the strategic and operational role of an effective sales function. You will need to be a well-organised and self-directed individual, eloquent, communicative, assertive and self-motivated with good time management. In summary this person will have the gravitas and leadership capability to help their team achieve their targets.
You will ideally possess a sound working knowledge of SIG Distribution distributed products and have demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to articulate the corporate vision and translate this into effective plans, gaining clear agreement from stakeholders by influencing, convincing, persuading and negotiating.
