Job Role: Manual Machinist (Conventional Horizontal Borer / Milling machinist & Conventional Turners)
Salary: £12-£13/hr DOE
Location: Leeds
Hours: 37 hour week over a four day period, Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 16.45 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break at 12.15
We are working with a company who manufacture new and refurbished bespoke machines and associated spare parts and tooling for the recycling, can make, press line and filter making sectors. The company supply products to the UK and worldwide to a wide variety of customers including the MOD.
Conventional Horizontal Borer / Milling machinist & Conventional Turners.
- Day shift
The company are currently looking for Setter Operators for Conventional Horizontal Boring / Milling machines, (Gidding & Lewis and Bridgeport with Digital readouts) and a conventional turner, setter, operator, (Colchester and DSG centre lathes).
(They are planning to purchase a CNC Colchester ALPHA 1400 in the near future.)
The successful applicants should ideally be apprentice trained but must have engineering experience. The applicants will be required to work conventional boring/milling/ machines producing low volume batch work to engineering drawings with minimum supervision. Training will be provided if necessary.
We are currently working a 37 hour week over a four day period, Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 16.45 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break at 12.15. Flexibility will be required as overtime will be required, (overtime is paid at a time plus one-third Monday to Thursday and time plus one half on Fridays and Saturdays ).
The day shift is currently paid at £12 to £13 per hour DOE
