The Consultant helps the team achieve clients’ goals around strengthening student performance and closing the achievement gap, improving instruction, implementing rigorous curriculum, developing school leaders, and facilitating organizational change.
To accomplish these priorities, the team features specialties in professional development, coaching, research, and program evaluation, with an emphasis in literacy and leadership development.
The team partners with superintendents, state commissioners, principals, teachers, parents, and communities alike to realize clients’ vision for education in their unique contexts.
Project engagements have included the development of the EngageNY grades 6–12 English Language Arts Common-Core aligned curriculum for the New York State Education Department, design and delivery of a system of professional learning for the Connecticut State Department of Education, the delivery of support services for Data Specialists for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the creation of training and resources to support transition to the standards for the Florida Department of Education.
Currently, we are providing curriculum implementation services to a range of districts across the state of Florida, as well as curriculum audit services.
Responsibilities Overall Responsibilities : PCG is currently seeking a Consultant to work in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.
The Consultant works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a team of subject matter experts, project management, and operations staff within the Education Consulting (EC) practice.
This position provides motivated individuals an opportunity to contribute to the success of exciting educational initiatives within our College and Career Ready Business Line, locally as well as nationally.
Specific Responsibilities : Provide client and project management: Serve as a contact for ongoing communications with clients.
Manage internal project teams and ensure that established project management processes and structures are appropriately implemented.
Manage project plan and coordinate timelines, due dates, assignments, and workflow.
Develops and maintains project budgets, including client invoicing.
Participate in and organize planning meetings, status meetings, and other meetings as needed.
Contribute to on-site training and professional development activities for clients.
Provide technical support by phone, email, and WebEx as needed.
Establish and maintain project collaboration sites (e.g., using SharePoint).
Prepare client contracts and ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.
Communicate with staff and clients as needed throughout the contracting process to secure contracts in a timely manner.
Prepare project status reports for management and for clients.
Collect, analyze, present, and act upon data: Coordinate data collection efforts including acquisition of student data, survey data, and other data relevant to our projects.
Organize and carry out all aspects of survey production and processing, including formatting, printing, distribution, collection, and analysis.
Generate spreadsheets, tables, and graphs to effectively and attractively present data for clients.
Use advanced features of Excel to expedite data analysis, including complex formulas, linking worksheets, lookups, pivot tables, macros, and charts.
Assist with written reports and other materials for clients.
Contribute to proposal and business development: Assist proposal teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.
Manage the proposal development process, including the development schedule, staff assignments, documentation requirements, production, and timely delivery.
Regularly scan the environment for new RFPs and other opportunities.
Participate in business development efforts, including contributing to conferences, marketing campaigns, presentations, and sales meetings.

Participate in special assignments as needed.
Create materials for professional development, e-learning, curriculum, and communications: Design and produce content for live, online, and blended training sessions with an eye towards design, storyboarding and scripting video content.
Incorporate client and end-user feedback to continuously improve professional learning experiences.
Work with subject matter experts on course development to incorporate appropriate learning technologies in face-to-face and online class environments.
Oversee and participate in production of materials required for work with clients, including, when required vendor selection, negotiation of best prices, and review of proof materials.
Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure training materials are accurate.
Design documents, reports, sales collateral, and presentations that effectively and attractively convey meaning and adhere to style guidelines.
Recommend new enhancements (e.g., new document styles) and more efficient methods to improve project deliverables Establish logical structures for maintaining version control and storing project documents.
