Overview Reports to department Associate Director\u2013Capital and provides support for a wide variety of capital purchases and other related projects.
The Project Coordinator will assist with all aspects of procurement purchasing and solicitations and in the development of reviewing a diverse variety of customized agreements.
Assist and comply with various required procurement- and contract-related reporting, as required.
Establish and maintain professional, cooperative, and productive working relationships with vendors, resolving any problems and/or conflicts in a timely manner.
Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Responsibilities Maintains and enters information into databases.
Set-up and manage paper and electronic filing systems, records information, updates paperwork, and maintains documents.
Successfully prioritizes tasks and meet project deadlines.
Provide timely follow-up and status updates to Managers as issues are processed and resolved.
Knows how and when to use resources and asks for help when necessary.
Exhibits developing effective written and verbal communications skills, which should be evident in all core communications (e.g., complete and accurate status reports, regular updates to supervisor and other communication as requested.) Completes assigned tasks within scheduled completion dates and communicates potential issues as soon as they are known.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience in capital purchasing OR Associate’s degree, with minimum four (4) years of demonstrated experience in capital purchasing required Background in Finance and Accounting preferred Work experience in contract administration Strong computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and data gathering skills Strong planning and organization, critical thinking and decision-making skills Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent customer services skills and professionalism
