Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Accountant job in Plano, TX Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below Type: Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract Length: 6 months with possibility for extension Pay: $34.48 / HR Shift/Hours: 8A - 5P Responsibilities for this Accountant position include, but are not limited to: Accounting and reporting for the following areas: Cash, Investments, Customer Deposits, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, Accrued Liabilities, Daily and Monthly Account Reconciliations, financial and statutory reporting Develop and prepare daily/monthly journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, internal and external reports.
Assure that accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and exceptions are identified and solved.
Assist with completion of month-end closing journal entries and intercompany transactions for financial reporting.
Maintain effective internal controls over assigned tasks/responsibilities.
Prepare/update financial reporting and accounting policies and internal control documentation.
Prepare supporting schedules for audited financial statements, statutory and internal audits.
Assist with the preparation of annual GAAP-basis certified financial statements and footnotes for TFSB.
Ensure the accuracy of the information presented in audited financial statements by performing tie-outs to source documents.
Document operational process changes Provide Gap Analysis on current Policies and Procedures with recommendations on future state Review and revise current policies and processes related to consumer lending Revise or create processes for business related to the business transformation Ensure that company policies and procedures are well organized and written professionally, accurately, clearly, concisely, and logically Qualifications for this Accountant position: 3 years of accounting and finance experience, and a strong understanding of accounting concepts and internal controls.
Must have at least 3 years of Technical Writing experience Must be able to work independently and analyze.
(Know the difference between Policy and Procedure) Must have Knowledge of SharePoint, Word, Excel, Visio and Snagit (all required) Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred Knowledge of the financial and/or banking industry.
