Description 

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.

This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.

Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities Works closely with management to maintain receiving standards and ensure that proper processes are followed Support the supervisor in leading the team’s efforts in adhering to all government (OSHA, DEA, SBOP, FDA) regulations as well as safety, security, and cleanliness of the warehouse Ensures that Cardinal Health’s principles, policies, and procedures are consistently practiced Coordinate workflow to accomplish overall business objectives (i.e., pick, pack and ship on time and accurately, cycle counts, returns, and clean-up).

Fill in and perform functional tasks (i.e., stock, label totes) daily where/when necessary Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems Maintains positive employee relations; promotes team environment and facilitates process improvement Work closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamwork Plan daily workload and assignments Lead safety and quality discussions while maintaining productivity Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required 4 years experience Proficient in Microsoft office Good written communication skills What is expected of you and others at this level Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments May provide technical guidance and training to others Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role in the implementation Adheres to all quality guidelines Works with a minimal degree of supervision.
