Accountable for successful quality assurance testing, effective release management, and successful code deployment across various testing and production environments.
Ensures RPO IT functions, processes, and priorities are aligned with RPO business goals and strategies, the RPO’s Technology Roadmap, and the Federal Reserve System’s technology standards and initiatives.
In partnership with Federal Reserve System National IT and other RPO operational and technical areas, supports successful execution RPO-related technology projects and processing platform upgrades and enhancements.Key Responsibilities:Drives the development of strategic plans, internal processes and resource plans to support the RPO’s IT needs and ensure commitments are met to achieve the highest degree of service quality and cost efficiency.Oversees IT, QA testing, release management, change management, production and contingency support programs, functions, and services in support of the Retail Payments processing platforms.Collaborates with other RPO areas, FRS National IT, and other service providers to prioritize, plan and execute technology projects in support of RPO business goals and System initiatives.Influences FRS IT initiatives and standards through leadership of, and participation in System workgroups.Maintains knowledge of evolving technology and enterprise standards to ensure the most appropriate technology is developed and effectively applied to the RPO’s payment systems.Oversees budget and resources and contributes to meeting the RPO’s cost recovery targets, making decisions to adjust as needed in order to minimize expenses and financial risk and identify cost efficiencies.Performs personnel management functions such as hiring, staff development counseling, employee performance appraisals, compensation decisions, and other personnel actions for on-site and/or remote management and staff.Knowledge Area/Technical Skills/Certifications and Licenses:Highly Specialized or Technical Skills/CertificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or comparable technical discipline.
Graduate degree in related field preferred.
Experience in Information Technology, to include leadership and management experience for large, complex and diverse portfolio of business applications or systems.
