The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is responsible for overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also supervise the clerical staff.

This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Newbury Park, California area.

What you get to do every single day - Oversee Accounts Receivable - Arrange cash flow projections, as needed - Update Accounts Payable - Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

- Conduct monthly accounting close - Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents - Note budget transfers - Other assignments as requested - Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement - Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation - Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments - Condense business license and gross receipts - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - 2 years of related experience- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well - Practical knowledge of Construction Projects - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience - Proven knowledge of Construction Accounting - General familiarity with Construction Industry Experience - Quality experience with construction project accounting - Well-founded grasp of Construction Documents - Wide ranging experience with QuickBooks - Construction experience highly desired - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) - Highly organized and self-motivated - Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills - Be detailed, flexible, and organized - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred Robert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
