Field Based Technical Area Manager Location: Field based in and around London, accepting home-based applications Salary: £28,300 - £29,300 London Weighting of £1,500 (if residing within the M25 boundary) Contract: Full time, Permanent Benefits: Incentive scheme of £3,500 - £4,000 paid quarterly throughout the year, company car (Audi A3 or similar quality car), fuel for business and personal use, Monday to Friday working 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), excellent pension, healthcare, sickness benefits and life assurance schemes An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Field Based Technical Area Team Manager.

About the Field Based Technical Area Manager role: As you will be responsible for a team of technicians in and around London, it is important that you will either live in this area, or be able to travel easily to the area, to visit and meet with your team and their customers.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced line manager to join the Field Operations team to manage a dedicated team of Smart Dispense Service Technicians.

Your man-management skills are a proven given, what stands you apart from the rest is your strong technical skills and your desire to want to deliver the best customer service in everything you do.

As this is a field-based role, you will be working with your team, on a daily basis, supporting, coaching and developing them to ensure that they effectively give our customers the very best customer service experience every time.

Key responsibilities for the role include: Having direct line management responsibilities for a team of Smart Dispense Service Technicians.

Ensuring that all Service Level Agreements and other service delivery KPIs for your team are met at all times.

Liaising on a daily basis with both your team of technicians and the central Planning Department Travelling and meeting both technicians from your team, and their customers.

Managing resource levels within the team Taking full ownership and accountability for handling all customer queries, complaints and delights in your geographical area Providing help, support and advice to all customers Supporting and motivating your team of technicians on a daily basis Providing continuous development support in the longer term through coaching and more formal training plans Analysing customer feedback, statistics and data.

Producing periodic reports and statistical information on performance, activity and customer service standards in your geographical area.

Coming from a technical or engineering background is not essential but would be a distinct advantage, as would having an aptitude and an interest in understanding how equipment is put together and how it works.

Essential Skills A good level of relevant experience in working in a customer service driven environment.

Experience in managing a team.

Excellent analytical skills.

A good level of numeracy and excellent writing skills.

Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Driving licence which permits you to drive in the UK (preferably held for reasonable period of time, for example five years’ driver’s experience).

You will be able to work to deadlines and be familiar with working with KPIs.

Desirable Skills Technical experience or a technical qualification.

A degree or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant business / customer service or technical area.
