Responsibilities Lead a team of Policy Specialists to develop and implement advertiser and publisher policies for a wide variety of Google ad products.Lead a team of Policy Specialists to collaborate with Product Managers, T&S teams, and Engineering Leadership to influence product decisions and prioritization and improve the user experience for policy-related issues.Drive research and collaboration with others in the industry.Drive awareness and understanding of our product policies within Google and across our user base.
Advance education around the first principles that define our positions on a wide range of topics including hate speech, safety, security, and privacy.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.10 years of experience in the digital advertising industry and in drafting or enforcing online policies for an online platform or large multinational corporation.5 years of experience in leading teams globally and cross-functionally.Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.Preferred qualifications:Master’s degree.
Experience working internationally in the online platform space.Experience with advanced product and/or program management.Understanding and experience with the technologies underlying the Internet and web, including networking architecture, web markup and scripting languages, online advertising technology, database systems, and machine learning.Understanding and experience with the technologies underlying the Internet and web, including networking architecture, web markup and scripting languages, online advertising technology, database systems, and machine learning.
