Job Title: PHP Developer Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Salary: DOE We are looking for an experienced and talented PHP Developer to join our client's growing development team to work on existing client sites and new builds from scratch.
You will work with internal teams including the support team, project managers, and designers to ensure projects are developed according to the brief/instructions.
The role is back-end development so the role covers building custom modules, back-end functionality, third-party system integrations through APIs and ongoing site bug fixing.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing tasks internally.
Helping to define requirements and project briefs.
Testing and quality control of your work.
Accurately estimating time for milestones and tasks.
Work with third-party agencies and developers.
Suggest improvements to the development process and environments.
Work within existing internal processes and develop new ones.
Produce technical documentation for complex functionality.
Helping with importing data where required.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Back-end development using PHP/MySQL.
Development of APIs and third-party system integrations.
Experience of PHP frameworks.
Experience of server setups.
Experience using GIT and deployment tools.
Autonomy to research and learn on your own as well as within a team.
Basic front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JS nice to have.
REQUIREMENTS: At least 5 years' experience developing PHP projects.
Good people skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
Punctual and good time management.
Understanding of project processes and timelines.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
High attention to detail and thorough checking.
Excellent communication skills to help explain complex and technical aspects simply.
Ability to learn from others and teach other team members.
