Special educational needs and disabilityEmpowering Learning are recruiting Psychology & Sociology Graduates to work on a full or part-time basis as a Learning Support Assistant within Secondary SEND School based in Uxbridge. You will be supporting pupils with different SEND, in particular, Autism (ASD/ASC). This position will give anyone considering a future in education valuable classroom-based experience working as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. We are seeking enthusiastic and hands-on individuals that can take direction. If you are looking to start a career in Education, this is a great way to get yourself started, and this role will also suit anyone looking for part-time work while studying.
Job Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
Ability to engage and support pupils
Assist with personal care if needed

Willing to support children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities
Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour

Available 2-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 4-months
