This is a field-based role, with weekly visits to the Cambridge office.
Our client help their clients grow their businesses through a combination of best in industry expert knowledge, consultative management, relentless energy, the use of technology and applying a truly collaborative approach to their partnerships. Based in Cambridge, their international team offers 10 native languages, which enables their clients to provide a tailored advertising experience to their end-customers near and afar.
The successful candidate will be an extraordinary New Business Development professional with strong experience in an agency environment bringing in new leads, they will be a motivated and ambitious individual who wants to further a career that they truly love in an exciting, fun and continuously growing business. They will play a key part in our client’s acquisition and growth strategy with one main KPI which will be finding and processing new leads. This is a great opportunity to use your creativity, drive, passion and vision to achieve success and to join a cohesive and growing business development team. You will be required to work 1 day a week at our client’s Cambridge office and the role is likely to include frequent travel throughout the UK, as well as European travel from time to time.
Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing digital marketing services
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings or audits
Contributing to new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Creating and executing a strategy to keep in touch with leads which do not convert in the first instance.
Responding to inbound sales enquiries, have the acumen to qualify an opportunity and commercial experience to confidently talk about budgets.
When appropriate, developing a new lead business team to scale the growth further
Training new staff and helping team members develop their skills
Planning, attend and follow up on leads from events and exhibitions
Maintain CRM database
Networking Skills/Experience:
Proven B2B sales track record in the digital/eCommerce or retail space
Developing C-level and above contacts in the e-commerce/retail industry
Building relationships with vendor/supplier partners
Proven track record with an outbound sales process from creation through to execution
Sales team management
Proven sales prospecting track record
Executing a preformed prospecting sales strategy
Relationship management – able to create and maintain strong relationships with contacts.
Able to be creative and think outside the box, come up with original ideas to promote the brand
Presentation skills
Ability to work independently and self-motivated This needs to be an experienced person with at least:
2 years of agency experience bringing in new leads
It is important that the person is experienced generating leads in the space our client operate in (retail brands – E-commerce managers, digital marketing managers etc.)
The main KPI will be new leads. A lead is a brand who agrees to have a free audit
Able to be in Cambridge at least one day per week
No commission – but role will have plenty of opportunity to move up salary brackets within the role. What they offer:
