A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Part Time Home Ownership Officer to join one of Badenoch & Clark's most improved housing clients in a permanent position for 21 hours per week.
Based in Epsom in Surrey, our client is looking for somebody with previous experience of: Providing a customer focussed service responding to homeowner enquiries in accordance with the association's standards of service.
Dealing with enquiries relating to leasehold and shared ownership re-sales, re-mortgages and stair casing transactions.
Liaising with solicitors and mortgage companies and attending court as required.
Responding to enquiries and processing application for the Right to Buy and Right to Acquire liaising with solicitors and other relevant parties.
Undertaking formal and informal consultation including s20 consultation in accordance with the procedures and timescales laid down in the relevant legislation.
Encouraging homeowners to get involved through formal and informal channels to influence the service and participate in decision making that relates to their home, neighbourhood and community.
Working with colleagues in other teams (Finance and Asset Management) in the annual review, calculation and reconciliation of service charges and ground rents and responding to all enquiries from homeowners relating to these.
Implementing equal opportunities in all aspects of daily work and understanding the single equality policy of the Association.
Strong knowledge of leasehold/tenancy management issues and housing legislation is a key part of this role, and please note that a car driver and owner is essential.
Experience in presenting to tribunals, mediation or court would also be highly desirable.
Based on 21 hours per week, the salary will be up to £19,198 plus £720 car allowance per annum.
