Description 

Desktop support engineer permanent job opportunity, Croydon, for a leading IT organisation.

So, you'll know exactly what's expected of you in this role.

Technical Resource Group are the front line engineers.

They are the technical staff that enable the users of 'our customers' by owning and resolving their IT issues.

We have engineers that simply enjoy being hands on and fixing issues, but we also have a track record of developing our engineers into consultancy, global infrastructure, service manager and project manager roles.

Your new role You will work as an engineer based on one of the government customer sites in Croydon.

You will be working primarily on an IT Tech Bar supporting laptops, smartphones and other mobile devices.

You will be an approachable engineer with fantastic communication skills, comfortable speaking to people of all levels of seniority and able to adjust the way that you discuss technical resolutions to the varying technical levels of the customer.

Joining a team of 14 engineers, you will work to support the customer working in a shift pattern covering the hours of 08:00 - 20:00 Mon - Sat.

There is also the option for out of office work.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this post you will need to have an excellent attitude to support work, able to articulate advice and technical resolutions to people with differing technical knowledge and be highly adaptable and welcoming of change as well as communicating change to customers.

You will have experience of Windows 10 working within a corporate environment, experience of laptop hardware breakfix (preferably on Lenovo and Dell hardware) What you'll get in return The opportunity to work on one of the biggest customer accounts within the company which offers good visibility for those looking to climb the career ladder.
