Publications Assistant
Location: City of London
Salary: £23,000 to £24,000 per annum depending on experience
About the Company:
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a registered charity, is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the UK securities and investment industry.  Its aim is to promote high standards of competence and integrity amongst its 40,000 members and the industry, and, as the main examining body for the sector, offers its internationally recognised exams globally.
We are looking for a recent graduate with an interest in publications, we will give you an invaluable insight into editorial and publication work within a professional body, as the CISI produces a range of industry relevant publications.
Publications Assistant Responsibilities:
Proofreading technical documents such as workbooks, exam questions and e-learning products
Assisting in formatting the content of workbooks (training will be given)
General administrative duties, for example processing invoices, organising meetings, maintaining our database
Publications Assistant Requirements:
Excellent time management skills
An ability to work independently, yet also to be part of a team
Able to work to deadlines
An ability to communicate with colleagues diplomatically and with confidence
An excellent standard of written English
Good project management skills
Excellent attention to detail
A degree, ideally in English
IT skills – Microsoft packages or Indesign
Previous proofreading experience or formatting content for publications
